2009 JustDrift’s TopDrift Champions!!!

2009 Season is finally over! New breed of champions have arised after all the smoke has cleared! First time in 4 years, We have 2 champions tied in for first place! Who said there’s only one winner? 2 is a better number!

1st place – Mikki Frial and Mike Bolanos
2nd place – Luke Pakula
3rd place – Matt Fields

To Keith Wong who has an almighty Toyota AE86 with all 4 throttles screaming at every round for a podium, gathering all his winnings and managed to hang on to the 4th overall! He deserved a podium as well! I won’t be surprised if he comes back in 2010 with a force induced Corolla with a different heart! Like Luke who started seeing podium when he did a SR swap where a 4AG heart use to be.

Carlos Cano, a top contender suffered a blown motor in round 4. But that did not stop him, he went home and grab his spare car and continued on. He is contemplating for a VTECH swap in his AE86 for next year.

Chris Mendoza, A JustDrift main fixture was able to climb back up to 6th overall after a 2 year down time from building his Nissan Silvia. He’s getting comfortable in his new setup, hopefully he’ll win next season.

Martin Rauch, a doctor by day and a weekend warrior is strong on the 8th place. I hope to see him in PROAM!

Congrats to everyone! Great 2009 and hope to see all of you in 2010! Hope to see new drivers to compete in next years event! Thanks to all the sponsors and to Formula Drift!

JD Presents: Xmas Toy Drift!

Happy Holidays!  ToyDrive 2009 Drivers Registration is now open!  HERE!

In working together with the California Highway Patrol – West Valley. JUSTDRIFT and Law Offices of Carlo Reyes proud to present: ToyDrift 2009!

All drivers must bring a new unwrapped toy valued over $10.00 each to qualify for the special 2 day drift event. All toys donated will be sent to the California Highway Patrol Toy Drive.

Drivers – bring the toy to the event and present it upon checking in.
Spectators: For a free drift ride along – Bring unwrapped toy, check in for the special wrist band and sign waiver at the booth/tent.

$140 for 2 days or $80 for 1 day – All drifting is at WSIR – Balcony on Nov 28-29 2009. Lunch for the drivers will be provided by Baker precision and CityTire Online. This event is open to all groups. Beginners, Intermediate, Advance, Expert and EX-Pros. Come out and enjoy! Have fun!

Remembering>> Hachi Days

I was just opening up emails i saved from 4-5 years ago… and i came across a folder gallery of my corolla drifting back in the days. this is pretty much the 3rd -4th year of me driving the s13, and im gonna be honest with you i miss those crazy moments with the corolla. it may have been because im seing the corolla again everyday since we moved it into our garage last sunday… just gives me the memories of what was like when i was learning how to drift… those days! the happiest moment i would say in my drifting experience. the pictures i have save doesn’t go back to the autocross days. but i’ll share what i have saved.

its less than a week and the anticipation is getting closer. i havnt really had time to check on my car for this upcoming event. hopefully everything will be ok. i cant wait for this weekend to come, yet im very nervous about competing.
